Sharon Kaur attends Parliamentary Reception on behalf of Sahara Care

Sahara Care founder and director Sharon Kaur personally attended a Parliamentary Reception on Tuesday 12 April 2016, to show her support for Care England.

The event was a cheery celebration of British care providers, highlighting the excellent and respected work conducted by the likes of Sahara Care and other assisted living and support services across the UK.

The occasion marked the first ever Parliamentary Reception of its kind and was hosted by Baroness Greengross OBE on the House of Lords Terrace.

Several esteemed politicians and members of Care England attended to show their support.

Guest of honour, Rt Hon Alistair Burt MP, Minister of State for Community and Social Care, delivered an honest and deeply affecting speech highlighting the importance of care providers to the community.

Sahara Care director, Sharon Kaur, said: “Care providers are of pivotal importance to the community and it’s fantastic to have the hard work of Sahara Care and other providers recognised by Care England and respected Members of Parliament”.

Sahara Care’s Terry Brown and Darren Turner accompanied Sharon to the event.
