Founder and managing director of Sahara Care, Sharon Kaur, has made a generous donation of £36,000 to charity organisation Ambition, Aspire, Achieve (AAA).
Sharon’s substantial donation, which was made on behalf of the Sahara Care team, will go towards the creation of a new centre for disabled children in Newham.
Launched last year, the AAA charity, for which Sharon acts as Life Patron, is a young people’s organisation in East London which aims to provide new opportunities and sustained positive outcomes to local youngsters.
Commenting on the generous donation on behalf of Sahara Homes, Sharon Kaur said: “I am delighted that we are able to help AAA with this wonderful project with this donation.
“The new centre will provide a wonderful environment for young disadvantaged and disabled people from across East London, providing the community with a much needed new resource and opportunities.”
Kevin Jenkins OBE, AAA’s founder, said: “The Sahara Homes donation is truly wonderful, enabling Ambition, Aspire, Achieve (AAA) – a new charity – to become established and active in Canning Town, delivering life changing opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children year round”.
He added: “Without Terry and Sharon’s support for AAA none of this would have been possible, we are truly grateful for their kindness and support.”
AAA have confirmed that new centre will be named after Sahara Care’s Chairman, Terence Brown, in honour of all the generosity he has shown to local communities and charities.
